Dr. Carter known, as Pastor Carter to his congregation is a powerful and prophetic preacher of the word of God. He is steadfastly committed to teaching the word of God through bible studies and discipleship development. Pastor Carter is ordained through American Baptist Churches, USA, and serves at the state level with American Baptist Churches-Ohio, where he served two terms in the State’s Regional Board. He is a member of the Dayton Area Baptist Association. Pastor Carter is actively involved in the Dayton community. He is currently President of the Clergy Community Coalition, Vice-President of the West Dayton Caravan of Churches and is a former President of LEAD) ( Leaders for Equality and Action) in Dayton. Pastor Carter is a 2018 recipient of the Dayton NAACP Community Outreach Award and a 2019 recipient of Community Service awards from the Westmont Optimist Cub and the Dayton Chapter of Blacks in Government.
Pastor Carter attended Middletown public schools. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Evansville in Indiana. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, Los Angels California. He received his Master s of Art in Christian Studies from Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, New York and his Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Carter is married to Zion’s First Lady, Mrs. Dawn Carter. First Lady Carter is President of the Women of Zion and leads the dance ministry.
